CONGRATULATIONS Shani!!!!!!!

I got THE CALL tonight...my sister got engaged!!!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it...I wish I was in Oklahoma right now so I could give her a giant hug! I am SO HAPPY for her and I can't wait for Todd to join our family. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!! (I wonder if I'll be able to sleep tonight...I have all of these wedding ideas already going through my brain...)

Family, a Farm, and a Big Game, OH MY!

We had another crazy busy, fun filled weekend this past weekend. There was family in town, a big football game to watch, and of course some pumpkins and farm animals to see! Nana, Hudson and I started the weekend early by visiting Owens Farm on Friday. Hudson LOVED the farm animals...I mean, he could NOT GET ENOUGH of the goats and sheep.

The child had NO FEAR when it came to petting the goats and the sheep...he would just reach right in and go for it. The funniest thing though is that he kept "talking to them" by saying "BAAAA" as loud as he could. I guess he was speaking animal to them!

Not too sure of the barrel ride or the pony though.

So, we went back to the goats and sheep.

We had to literally pry him away from the animals to venture to the pumpkin side of the farm. He thouroughly enjoyed the maze and moving pumpkins around once we got there.

Saturday morning we headed out to an OU/TX watch party. Kelly and I flipped a coin to see which shirt Hudson would wear first and I lost. Poor Hudson had to wear a TX shirt most of the day.

Game, what game? Griffin, Hudson, and Gannon played outside most of the day.

Before heading out on Sunday, I found this sitting on the couch:

Paw-Paw was drawing Hudson his famous "Gooney-bird" that he used to draw for us as kids. I need to take a picture of it. Hudson just sat in amazement while he drew.

Pumpkins Pumpkins Everywhere!

This Monday we met our friends Aurora & Avery and Leslie & Griffin at a pumpkin patch in Flowermound. It was quite an adventure because it was chilly, drizzly, muddy...you get the idea. We didn't let that stop our plans though and the kids didn't seem to mind any of that one bit! Hudson was jut excited to be out of the house after being sick the previous week.

My little man cracks me up...he kept trying to "ride" the pumpkins...NUT!!!
They were off to see what kind of mischief they could get find...

First, Hudson tried to pick up a pumpkin. I'm pretty sure that pumpkin weighed about as much as he does!

Since he couldn't lift it by himself, he enlisted Avery for some help.

This picture CRACKS me up...they finally gave up on the idea of picking up the pumpkin and started hitting it. Look at the look of pure joy on their faces! Oh, I could eat them up!

Destin Pics...FINALLY!!!

OK, so WAY BACK in June when we went to Destin, we had professional pictures taken on the beach. After going through the (literally) hundreds of pictures that they took, narrowing it down, placing an order, and then waiting the ELEVEN weeks to receive them, we finally got the pictures. All of that was fine though because I think they were worth the wait!

Would you ever guess that this smiley boy had to go to the doctor that morning to find out that he had an ear infection? Let's just say there was an insane amount of jumping around and silliness going on behind the camera!!

Birthday cake AND Thomas...WOW, what a weekend!

Hudson was able to have a Two-Year-Old Dream weekend. Birthday cake on Saturday and Thomas the Train on Sunday! What more can a little boy ask for?

We headed up to Oklahoma this weekend to help celebrate Nana's birthday at a party that was a complete surprise to her. Hudson was the life of the party...dancing like a crazy man to the music from the DJ, eating cake, and making new friends. He loved every minute of it and I think he might have stolen a few hearts while he was at it!

After partying hard Saturday night, we headed to see Thomas on Sunday before we headed back to Texas. The weather wasn't exactly cooperating with us. It was 55 degrees and rainy, but it didn't stop us...we had our tickets and Hudson couldn't quit saying Thomas!

How cool is that?!? I was very impressed!

After the train ride, we headed to the Thomas store. There were other activities, but the weather didn't allow us to do any of them. Hudson didn't care because he got a new Edward to play with!

Before getting on the road we had lunch with everyone and Aunt Fern surprised Hudson with a Thomas blanket that she made. How cool!

Had to snap a few pics of my little guy eating chips and salsa. Is it bad that I LOVE that he loves Mexican food?? My favorite...yum!!

The minute we walked in the door, Hudson wanted to play with the Thomas train track that Aunt Fern bought him, so he and Daddy immediately sat down and put it together.

He literally played with this for almost an hour. Considering he normally plays with something for less than 5 minutes, that is MAJOR! What a fun filled weekend we all had!!
