ICE!

With us not celebrating Christmas in Oklahoma until January, Paw-Paw and Nana decided that was too long to go without seeing Hudson.  So, they drove down December 21st to spend the weekend and to experience some of the fun Christmas activities here.  On Sunday, the 23rd we headed to Grapevine to go to the ICE exhibit at The Gaylord.  Hudson was so excited when we walked in that he started dancing with Nana!
 Posing on their parkas!
The theme this year was Merry Madagascar, which couldn't have pleased Hudson more since he LOVES the Madagascar characters!

He thought the ice slide was really cool!
We all loved the nativity scene at the end...just beautiful!!
Here we are trying to warm up when we finished walking through.  It was COLD in there...they said it was only 9 degrees inside that day!!

Grinch Cookies

When I asked Hudson what kind of cookies he wanted to make for Santa this year, he immediately remembered me telling him about a recipe I had seen for Grinch cookies and he was sure that Santa would like those.  I thought his idea was great, so we got the ingredients and got to work.  We had to make them the Friday before Christmas because we had a jam packed weekend, so it gave us plenty of time to sample them!  :)
Hudson making his best "mean Grinch" face.

When Daddy got home, Hudson couldn't wait to have him try the cookies.  He even decided that we needed to make Grinch milk (green milk) to go with them.  He also thought Daddy needed to wear a Christmas tree headband.  (Daddy loved that...ha!)
Cheers to Grinch cookies and milk!

Class Christmas Party

Hudson's class Christmas party was December 20th.  They wore their Christmas jammies and I was able to snap a few group pictures of his precious class with Miss Amber in her Grinch jammies!
 Silly faces!

The kids attacking Miss Amber...or as they thought, giving her a hug!  :)

The Adventures of Haddy

Hudson was beyond excited this year when he woke up the day after Thanksgiving to discover that Haddy, our elf was back!  He came racing out of his room every  morning to find him.  He was a little ornery a few times this year and Hudson had to give him a good talking to to straighten him out.  I missed taking a picture every day, but here are Haddy's adventures most days.  :)

Hudson got horribly sick the week after Thanksgiving and he loved that Haddy left him a note and some medicine one morning.  :)

He also cracked up when he discovered him on his firetruck the  morning after our first fire of the year!

He thought he was drinking mouthwash this day:

He was NOT happy that he drew mustaches on our family picture.

Haddy is back at the North Pole now, but we can't wait to see what he has in store for us next year!

All Aboard!

This past Sunday, the 16th, we headed to the North Pole Express in Grapevine.  We weren't sure if Hudson would want to do this again, but when we asked he really wanted to.  So, we figured we would continue this fun tradition!!  We actually convinced him to take a picture with each of us before the pre-show began!

He always loves walking through the "snow"!

 Getting our tickets punched!
I caught the look on his face when he saw Santa walk in...priceless!!
 Smiling with the big guy!

We had such a fun ride on the train!

Christmas Program

Hudson was really sick the week of his Pre-School Christmas program and we were all bummed that he couldn't perform.  So, when our church asked the Pre-School students to perform at their annual Christmas Program, we signed up!  They only did one song...Rudolf the Red-nose Reindeer and it could not have been cuter.  Hardly any of them sang...they were completely overwhelmed by the packed sanctuary and full choir and orchestra behind them.  They just smiled and looked at each other most of the time!  You can see Hudson front and center in a plaid shirt.
