First lost tooth!!!

Monday, December 3rd Hudson told me his tooth felt wiggly.  I couldn't believe it...I didn't think he was old enough to have his first loose tooth.  So, I called his dentist and the sweet hygienist told me that children lose their bottom two teeth first normally between the ages of 5 1/2-6 and then their top teeth between the ages of 6 - 6 1/2 and that it was completely normal to lose them a little earlier than that.  Hudson was beyond excited and wiggled and jiggled it for a week and a half!
Friday, the 14th, we were at lunch at Flying Fish with Daddy for his birthday and Hudson bit into a chicken strip and said, "yuck, mommy look!" and dropped his tooth in my hand.  He didn't realize what had happened and thought it was something in his chicken.  When I told him it was his tooth he had the biggest smile ever and just kept saying he couldn't believe it had fallen out.  It was really cute.  Here he is after lunch flashing me his toothless smile.  :)

That night he took extra care putting it in his monster tooth pillow before heading to bed.
The next morning he was surprised to find a dollar and a receipt from the tooth fairy.  She checked the box saying that his tooth was in excellent condition!
I'm not sure why, but this event really made me realize just how fast he is growing up.  It definitely makes me want to stop time.  :(

Surprise...Lights!

This past Sunday night after getting ready for bed, Hudson discovered some VERY special tickets in his bed!  He literally jumped for joy when he remembered what these tickets meant...getting in the car in his jammies, picking up hot chocolate, and looking at Christmas lights!

This is his serious face while looking at lights!  Ha!
We went to Deerfield in Plano again and it did not disappoint...the streets were BEAUTIFUL!!

SANTA 2012

After church on Sunday, we surprised Hudson by going directly to see Santa!  He was so excited!!  He was a little shy at first, but warmed up to Santa pretty quickly.  When Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he said a science kit and a bug vacuum.  He was then super excited when Santa gave him a special sucker.  :)

Being Silly with Noni!

Noni was over a few weekends ago and she and Hudson were playing.  I heard squeals of laughter and came around the corner to find this sweetness:

He can be such a stinker for her sometimes, but these sweet snuggles sure make up for it!  :)

Birthday Party for Jesus

The first weekend in December, we headed to church for their annual birthday party for Jesus and drive through nativity.  It was amazing as always.  This is definitely one of our favorite Christmas traditions and we love starting out the season celebrating the true meaning of Christmas!
First up, driving through the nativity...Hudson always loves the live animals that are there.
After the nativity, we headed inside for games, dinner, and singing to Jesus!
Hudson's favorite prize of the night was this GIANT pixie stick.  He couldn't believe it!

Fall Pictures

The first weekend in November, we had our family pictures taken.  The primary purpose was to get our Christmas card picture and some cute pics of Hudson.  Here they are!

 My favorite:
It wouldn't be a photo shoot without Hudson making his "crazy eyes" for a picture!  I hate to admit it, but I used to do it as a kid too...guess he got one bad thing from his mommy.  :)

Fall Leaves

The Monday after Thanksgiving, I noticed that there were a lot of fallen leaves in our front yard.  When I suggested that Hudson and I rake the leaves he literally could not wait to go out front and get started.  I wonder how his attitude will change when he is a teenager??  :)
As  much fun as he had raking, he had the most fun running and jumping in the leaves.  He did it OVER AND OVER again.  It was so fun to watch!

Before bagging up the leaves, he made a leaf angel...silly boy!
