Halloween as a Golfer!

Hudson had the best Halloween this year as a golfer and he looked pretty good doing it if I do say so myself! :) We started out the week by heading to our Halloween Playgroup Party at Cara, Landon, & Grant's house. Cara OUTDID herself with the fun decorations, yummy treats, and goody bags for the boys! The boys looked PRECIOUS:
Joe Jonas (Chapman), Tigger (Porter), Train Conductor (Sutton), Pirate (Tanner), Cowboy (Reid), Football Player (Quinn), Risky Business (Landon), and Golfer (Hudson)
The boys had a blast playing around with their friends and the mommies had a great time catching up as always!
On Friday, we headed to Noni's office for their annual Trick-or-Treat party. Hudson enjoyed getting candy, but I think his favorite part was the pizza lunch!

Inspecting the first basket of candy took some time. He ended up picking out a jaw breaker. REALLY? A jaw breaker? Pretty sure 2 year olds can't have jaw breakers. So, after wrestling it away from him we finally convinced him to try his first Milk Dud. It worked...the Milk Dud was a success!
Tonight we ventured out to Trick-or-Treat for the first time. Hudson was a NATURAL! He boldly walked up to his friend Ella's house, knocked on the door and even said, "Trick or Treat."
No hesitation for this little one...
He knew there was something yummy waiting for him!
After leaving Ella's house, we headed to Stone's house. Notice how Hudson is eyeing Stone's sucker? Just wait...

Had to grab a quick family pic! The second we left Stone's driveway Hudson pulled a sucker out of his bag and asked if he could have it. Why not? :)

A kid definitely needs more candy when they have candy in their mouth right?
Once we got home, Ella came to our house and of course we had to get a pic.

Good night my little golfer. Sweet (sticky, yummy, sugar-high...) dreams!

More Firetruck!

"More Firetruck"...these are the words I've been hearing from Hudson since a fun birthday party and a fun playdate! It started on Sunday when we went to Griffin's 2nd birthday party. It was firetruck themed and a real firetruck came to the party. The kids were in HEAVEN! They even got to sit in the firetruck.

Hudson cried when he had to get down and kept saying "more ride" since he thought he was riding in the firetruck when he was sitting in it. Too cute!
The birthday boy and his mommy.
The whole gang sitting on the front of the firetruck.

Waving bye to the firetruck. He wasn't sad for too long because it was cake time after that!
The following morning we met some friends for a little field trip to our local firestation. I just knew Hudson would love it since he loved the birthday party the day before. The firestation did not disappoint. We actually got to take a tour and I learned a few things...did you know that firemen are REQUIRED to work out for an hour a day? I wish someone would require me to do that...ha! I also learned that they have 60 seconds to load up in the truck and be on their way when they get a call. Just a little bit of trivia for you...don't say you never learned anything from reading a blog! :)
Hudson's favorite part was walking around in the ambulance. This was a big hit for all the kids!

Of course we couldn't leave without a group pic: Justine with Logan and Mason, Melissa and Colton, Jeannie and Kayson, and Hudson and I.
As we were leaving they told us to come back anytime. Don't worry...we definitely will!

THIS hat and a few Fall pics

A little over a week ago I took Hudson to get a few pictures taken in his Halloween outfit. THIS hat was part of his outfit, but he wouldn't wear THIS hat.
I begged and pleaded for him to put on THIS hat, but he wouldn't have any part of it. I mean, NO PART OF IT! So, I gave up and took the pictures without THIS hat.
Then, when we got home he decided that he liked THIS hat. He liked it so much that he played in in, cooked in it, even wore it to dinner. Don't you love that? :)
THIS hat was supposed to go with this outfit. But, that's OK...the picture turned out pretty cute anyway!
While we were there, we had a few more pictures taken:

Daddy didn't much care for this picture, but I have to admit it is one of my favorites! Is it just me, or does he look like a little stocky football player in the making? He also lookes GREAT in that particular shirt huh? :)

Forget the pumpkins!

This Saturday since Daddy is out of town, Noni and I decided to take Hudson to the Arboretum for some more pumpkin fun. I guess Hudson has had it with all of the pumpkins he has seen lately because he was completely obsessed with picking up pecans. The child literally had a stack of them and carried them all over the Arboretum. We even had to ask if it was OK to take some home because we couldn't pry them out of his little hands! Let the pecan picking begin...
Pumpkins? What pumpkins?

Noni and Hudson...yes, his hands are full of pecans!
Is it just me, or do you love this part of the Arboretum? I think it is so pretty, even when there aren't any leaves on these trees.
We decided to grab a bite to eat after our pecan adventure and I just had to snap these pictures. I think this is the first time that Hudson has actually "dug in" to a dessert. He was one happy boy!

YUM!

We FINALLY made it to the Arboretum!!

We have had several playdates planned for the Arboretum that have been cancelled due to the yucky weather. But, this past Monday the weather was BEAUTIFUL, so we were able to stick to our plans and go with our friends Melissa & Colton and Jessica & Stone. The boys and mommies had such a great time...we couldn't have asked for a prettier day!
Hudson, Stone, and Colton rolling in together. (Notice Hudson and Stone with their George lovies!)
Once we got inside Hudson and Colton decided to ditch the wagon and walk. Hudson had a blast picking up leaves and acorns. It is always the simple things with my little man!

When we finally made it to the area with all of the pumpkins, Hudson had a blast moving them around and in typical Hudson fashion, "riding" the pumpkins!

Our sad attempt at a group shot with the boys...they obviously had better things to do than pose for a picture!
After exploring the pumpkins, we spread out some blankets for a picnic lunch. My little guy was WAY more interested in wearing my sunglasses than he was in eating.

I absolutely L.O.V.E. Hudson's love of animals. He cracked me up because he started chasing this bird asking it to sit and asking to hold it. LOVE IT!
I'm not sure how much time we spent on the stairs, but this might have been the boys favorite time of day.

My friend Melissa took these last two pictures and I didn't even realize she was taking them. We were walking back to the wagon to get our things to head home and Hudson asked me to turn him. I love these sweet moments with my little man!!!

Thanks friends for such a fun trip to the Arboretum!
