Lunch date

Smiling at my bugs! :)

Colleen and Reid
Today we went to lunch with Colleen and Reid at California Pizza Kitchen. Hudson was wide awake when we arrived and was smiling at his "bugs" that hang from his carrier. He just recently discovered them and it is just so funny to watch him look at them. After being awake and playing with his bugs, he went to sleep and stayed asleep throughout the entire lunch. So...we didn't get any pictures of him and Reid together. Maybe next time!

I'm so funny!

Smiling in the morning! :)
Cuddling with Aunt Shani

Hanging out with Great Uncle Wayne

Chillin with Uncle Geoff
Relaxing with Great Aunt Fern

We went to Oklahoma this past weekend to visit family. We had such a great time! We spent most of Saturday visiting Aunt Fern and Uncle Wayne. Hudson did such a great job!! I'm glad he doesn't mind the long car ride to Oklahoma...it will be a trip he will make a thousand times before he knows it! :)

Another busy week...

Hudson "Trick or Treating" at Noni's office!

Hudson and Noni
Hudson meeting his new friend Griffin!

This week has been packed! On Monday, Griffin Helwig made it into this world. We spent the day at the hospital waiting for him to arrive. Hudson did SO GREAT waiting around all day. We were so excited that Griffin finally came!! I know that they will become fast friends. :) (It doesn't help that his Mommy and I have been best friends for years!!) On Wednesday, we went back to the pumpkin patch with Melissa and Colton. However, once again, we didn't get any pictures of Colton and Hudson together. Maybe next time!!! Finally, today was Trick or Treating at Noni's office for all children and grandchildren. Of course, Hudson didn't go for the candy, but Noni wanted to show him off. He wasn't too thrilled about being put back into his little dragon costume, so he just went around without it. He slept most of the time as all of her friends came to meet him. I'm sure next year he will be ready to run down the hallways! :)

Busy Weekend!

Paw-Paw, Nana, and Uncle Geoff came to visit this weekend and we were busy! We took Hudson to get his picture taken on Saturday in his little dragon Halloween costume. He was just precious! He didn't like being put on his tummy in his costume to try to get a "tail" shot, but he was very content while laying on his back. He actually started to fall asleep at one point! Saturday night he went out to eat for the first time. He snoozed through the entire dinner! Paw-Paw, Uncle Geoff, and Kelly went to the Cowboy game on Sunday. I of course, saw this as a perfect photo-op and quickly put Hudson in his Cowboy outfit for a picture with the boys. He wasn't really in the mood as you can see by the picture. I think he was just irritated that he didn't get to go to the game this year! :)

2 Months!!

I can't believe it, but Hudson was two months old on Saturday. Time is just flying by!! I took him for his two month check up today and couldn't believe how much he has grown. He now weighs 10 pounds 11.1 ounces and is 22 1/4 inches long. His weight is now in the 26% ~ he was 2% at his first check up!! In the past month he has gained two pounds and almost two inches. It just amazes me! He did have to get four shots today, bless his heart. There were two nurses that stood on each side and they had me stand in the middle and hold his hands. They gave him the shots at the same time...poor little guy. He let out the loudest scream I have heard yet. He slept good on the way home and has been sleeping every since. :( Oh well...we don't have to repeat that for two more months! Thank goodness! This picture is next to his pillow to show how much he has grown since last month. If you look back to the September 13th entry, you will be shocked to see how much he has grown!!

Fun Times!!

Hudson and I, Meredith and Reid, Amy and Porter, Kara and Tanner

Hudson asleep in his OU outfit!

We have been busy!!! Hudson got to experience his first OU/TX watch party this year. Kelly and I had to flip a coin to decide how he would be dressed. He wore his TX gear the first half and then changed into his OU gear the second half. He was much more relaxed in his OU gear and fell asleep. I think he helped the right team win! Ha ha! Boomer Sooner!! He really did great at his first "party" though. :) It was a lot of fun!

Monday, four of us took our boys to the Dallas Arboretum to the pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun, but SO HOT!! Who would have thought it would be in the 90's in October? Only in Texas!! Poor Hudson was burning up in his overalls, so as soon as I got a few pictures, I stripped him down and put him in a onesie. He was much happier when he cooled off! You can see by the pictures that he didn't like being propped up next to the pumpkins. Poor thing!

Playgroup Pictures!

Meredith and Reid, Brittney and Quinn, Kara and Tanner, Hudson and I, Amy and Porter

Quinn, Hudson (didn't enjoy this), Tanner, Porter, and Reid (who loved Tanner's pants!)

We are cracking up in this picture because Reid was screaming. He didn't like this pose AT ALL! :)

Playgroup was at Brittney and Quinn's house today and we had fun as we always do. We decided to take some pictures because most of the gang was there today. (We missed Allie and Chapman!) I think the mommies definitely enjoyed taking the pictures more than the boys did! There was at least one boy crying in each shot. :) It is so fun seeing how the little ones are changing throughout the weeks. I can hardly believe that Hudson will be as big as Reid and Quinn in 4 months!! We are going to take the boys to a pumpkin patch next Monday...I can hardly wait.

That Precious Smile!

Seven weeks is proving to be an exciting week for Hudson! He has moved up from newborn diapers to size one and the biggest excitement of all is that he is SMILING!!! :) He of course has smiled from day one, but he is now smiling at Kelly and I. It is the most precious thing in the world! He loves a good game of "Mommy's got your nose." That seems to bring out the biggest smile of all. I have tried to capture this precious smile on film, but it is proving to be a little difficult. This picture is as good as I can do so far. Once the smiles last longer, I should be able to get a better one!
