Good Morning World!

This morning, Holden woke up with some CRAZY bedhead and a case of the sillies to go with it!!  He is so much fun!!  Love him!

Just another morning...

Wednesday morning Holden and I were upstairs playing and I decided to snap a few selfies of us.  He was cracking me up!

After the selfies, he decided it was time to eat his snack...on top of his play kitchen.  Yes, if it can be climbed, he will climb it!!!  Crazy kid!

This boy!

On January 22nd, I went to Hudson's school to celebrate his accomplishments in the 2nd 9 weeks.  He got A-honor roll for the second time!  Hooray!!  We could not be more proud of him and how hard he works!!

Christmas in Oklahoma

We headed to Oklahoma the day after Christmas to celebrate.  I don't have many pictures...not sure what I was doing, but here are a few!  The littles LOVED their mini trampolines from Paw-Paw and Nana!!
Holden and Luke seriously could not stay off this thing!  Holden has jumped on his like a maniac ever since we got home too!
Kelly drew Aunt Fern this year, so I made her a calendar for part of her gift.  She loved it!!

Uncle Geoff and Aunt Tara got Holden and Luke balance bikes...how cute is this?!?

Funny story...when Paw-Paw opened his gift from Hudson, we all cracked up because it was a mug that said Basketball Mom.  I could tell by Hudson's face that he was just as shocked as the rest of us, so I asked him later if he meant to buy that and he said no!  Typical man...just saw a basketball and bought it!!  Ha, ha!!  I might need to practice gift buying with him before he gets married one day!  :)
We had a wonderful time in Oklahoma, but it was too short as always.  It was a great way to end our Christmas celebrating for the year!

Christmas Day

We had another magical Christmas this year!  I love everything about Christmas day...the REASON that we celebrate, the pajama time, the entire day focused on family and playing...all of it!  Hudson woke up first this year and found a sweet note from his elf, Haddy.
He sat patiently while waiting for Holden to wake up so he could open some presents!
Holden finally woke up, but then came in to find his Pillow Pet, and promptly laid down it!  He has loved "Big Puppy" since!
This boy.  This boy amazes me daily.  He can be such a stinker, but man oh man, he does things sometimes that make me sit back and realize that we must be doing something right.  (Part of the time anyway!!) We asked him if he wanted to open his stocking first and he said no, that he wanted all of us to open our gifts that he picked out for us at the Holiday Store at school.  Sweet, sweet boy!  I hope he always would rather give than receive!!  He wanted Noni to go first and she loved her Dallas Cowboys ornament he picked out.
It was my turn next, and he gave me the cutest OU earrings!  (The no makeup picture kills me every year!!)
He got Daddy a Texas Rangers cup.  He was sad to report that all of the UT stuff was gone when his class finally got to go shopping. Can you tell he loves sports at all?!?  Every gift was a sports team!!  Holden wasn't really in to opening gifts, so I don't have a picture of them together...Holden was ALL over the place!
After we opened our gifts, it was finally time for the boys to dig in.  It was so much fun watching them!!

The only thing Hudson really wanted for Christmas was a pottery wheel.  Here he is opening it!
Noni surprised him with a Kindle Fire...I think he was shocked!

Holden loved his cleaning set, complete with his own swiffer!  Hopefully he'll leave mine alone now!!
We were blessed to have Kelly's brother, Todd with us all day on Christmas.  It made our day that much better!  The boys sure love their Uncle Todd!!
Hudson was so excited to try out his pottery wheel.  We quickly learned it was NOT easy, and VERY messy, but super fun!!

Holden wanted in on the action.  Sorry little buddy!
Uncle Todd has a friend that has a "real" light saber, so he brought it over so the boys could see it.  It was much cooler than the ones Santa brought!!

We spent the day playing, eating, watching a movie, playing, and eating some more.  It was perfect!!  I had to document this last thing.  Holden has started saying his version of "ready, set, go" and will stand against a door or wall.  Then I have to say, ready, set, go and he will run towards me.  He does this over and over and it is absolutely precious!!  He did it while we were upstairs playing, so I quickly snapped some pics.

Love my boys!!!!

Christmas Eve

This year, we attended the 3:00 family service at our church on Christmas Eve.  We haven't gone to that service since Hudson was Holden's age!  We all definitely prefer the later services that end in candlelight, but candles, quiet, and Holden don't mix very well.  Ha!  So, we changed things up a bit.  We went to church, then came home so the boys could open their traditional pajama gift from us before going to visit Kelly's family.
When Hudson was really little, I always just bought cute Christmas pajamas to open, but as he has gotten older, I have tried to buy pajamas that go along with something he likes at the time.  I think it will be fun to look back on one day.  This year, he is all about Star Wars!  Since Holden doesn't have an opinion about that sort of thing yet, I thought it would be fun to coordinate pajamas.  So, Hudson got Storm Trooper pajamas and Holden got Darth Vader pajamas complete with a cape!
Holden just liked ripping the paper!  :)

After celebrating with Kelly's family, we came home and quickly got the boys in bed and I snapped a quick picture of the tree before going to bed myself!
