We had another magical Christmas this year! I love everything about Christmas day...the REASON that we celebrate, the pajama time, the entire day focused on family and playing...all of it! Hudson woke up first this year and found a sweet note from his elf, Haddy.
He sat patiently while waiting for Holden to wake up so he could open some presents!
Holden finally woke up, but then came in to find his Pillow Pet, and promptly laid down it! He has loved "Big Puppy" since!
This boy. This boy amazes me daily. He can be such a stinker, but man oh man, he does things sometimes that make me sit back and realize that we must be doing something right. (Part of the time anyway!!) We asked him if he wanted to open his stocking first and he said no, that he wanted all of us to open our gifts that he picked out for us at the Holiday Store at school. Sweet, sweet boy! I hope he always would rather give than receive!! He wanted Noni to go first and she loved her Dallas Cowboys ornament he picked out.
It was my turn next, and he gave me the cutest OU earrings! (The no makeup picture kills me every year!!)
He got Daddy a Texas Rangers cup. He was sad to report that all of the UT stuff was gone when his class finally got to go shopping. Can you tell he loves sports at all?!? Every gift was a sports team!! Holden wasn't really in to opening gifts, so I don't have a picture of them together...Holden was ALL over the place!
After we opened our gifts, it was finally time for the boys to dig in. It was so much fun watching them!!
The only thing Hudson really wanted for Christmas was a pottery wheel. Here he is opening it!
Noni surprised him with a Kindle Fire...I think he was shocked!
Holden loved his cleaning set, complete with his own swiffer! Hopefully he'll leave mine alone now!!
We were blessed to have Kelly's brother, Todd with us all day on Christmas. It made our day that much better! The boys sure love their Uncle Todd!!
Hudson was so excited to try out his pottery wheel. We quickly learned it was NOT easy, and VERY messy, but super fun!!
Holden wanted in on the action. Sorry little buddy!
Uncle Todd has a friend that has a "real" light saber, so he brought it over so the boys could see it. It was much cooler than the ones Santa brought!!
We spent the day playing, eating, watching a movie, playing, and eating some more. It was perfect!! I had to document this last thing. Holden has started saying his version of "ready, set, go" and will stand against a door or wall. Then I have to say, ready, set, go and he will run towards me. He does this over and over and it is absolutely precious!! He did it while we were upstairs playing, so I quickly snapped some pics.
Love my boys!!!!
