Hanging out with my friend Tanner

Playgroup was at our house today and Kara and Tanner were able to hang out afterward for a while. These pictures were cracking Kara and I up because Tanner's arm is around Hudson's shoulder. Too cute!!! It was such a fun day!

Oh Baby Bjorn!

Well, Hudson has entered a stage where he doesn't want to lay down during the day. He sleeps in his bassinet at night just fine, but during the day, he wants to sleep while Mommy is holding him. I have to admit, that it is one of my favorite times when he lays on my chest and falls asleep, but I can't get much done that way! :) So, today we tried the Baby Bjorn for the first time. WOW...he loved it! He cuddled right up and went to sleep while I did laundry and even changed the sheets on the bed. I love the person who invented the Baby Bjorn!

Time goes by fast...

I can't believe it, but Hudson is one month old today!! I don't think time has ever gone by this fast before. It has been a great month...it seems like he has always been in our lives. I can't imagine life any other way. We took his picture next to his pillow today and each month are going to sit him there and take the same pose to watch him grow. He goes for his month check up tomorrow...I can't wait to see how much he weighs now. I'll keep you posted...

Our First Roadtrip

We made our first trip to Oklahoma this weekend. Hudson did great! We had to stop once on the way there and once on the way back to feed him, but other than that, he slept the whole way. He loved meeting his Great Mamaw and Great Aunt Fern and Uncle Wayne for the first time. He got to take many naps in the arms of family this weekend! :)

Boomer Sooner

Hudson got to experience his first day of football on Saturday! Since Daddy was dove hunting, Mommy took the opportunity to put Hudson in his OU outfit that Aunt Shani and Uncle Geoff got him. He looked so cute! Daddy didn't like the outfit too much...but didn't change him into a UT outfit. We'll see what happens on OU/TX weekend. It might be a day of musical outfits! :)

I'm Getting Big!

We went to our 2 week check up today and my how we have grown! Hudson now weighs 6 pounds, 8.1 ounces and is now 19.9 inches long!!! He has gained over a pound and grown almost an inch and a half in less than two weeks. I could hardly believe it when they told me. Everything else looked good. They had to do the PKU test on him today and it almost made Mommy cry because he actually had real tears in his eyes. :( I don't know how I'm going to handle the visits where he gets his shots.

5 weeks...ha!

It turns out that Hudson had ideas of his own...he decided to come 4 weeks and one day early. He arrived on Monday, August 13th at 3:39 pm. He weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. Everything went really well at the hospital. We have been home now for almost a week and things are going great. Kelly and I were instantly in love with him!! We of course think he is the cutest thing ever. :) I will definitely keep the pictures flowing now...it was so hard to pick which ones to put on here today...I think we have taken a few hundred!
