Awards, awards, and more awards!

This morning, Hudson's school had their 9 week awards.  I am beyond proud of this boy.  He received SIX awards today!!!  He received an award for mastering his addition facts 0-5, another for mastering 6-11, the Marvelous Mathematician Award, Rock Star Reader (for already reading at the end of 1st grade level), on time award (for no tardies...I think this award should go to me...ha!), and an award for completing addition on XtraMath.  This one was kind of amazing because only 4 kids in all of 1st grade got this one...he mastered a computer program on his addition facts where he only had 3 seconds to answer 100 math facts.  I think I'm going to start referring to him as my little math wizard!!

Way to go Hudson!!!!!

Family Photos

I realized I never posted the pictures from our November family photo shoot.  Oops!  We could not get one.single.smile. out of Holden.  It was FREEZING and the wind was blowing like crazy.  These pictures were taken in under 15 minutes and we raced back to the car!!  I was happy to have one good one!!
This is the one we used in our Christmas card:

LOVE my little family!!!!

Outtakes with Paw-Paw & Nana

Paw-Paw and Nana came to visit this past weekend so they could watch Hudson play basketball.  He had a game early Saturday morning, so we were able to spend the rest of the weekend playing, relaxing, and just spending time together.  It was fabulous!  On Saturday afternoon, I rounded the corner to see all of them on the couch together and decided I had better grab the camera to snap a few pics.
I quickly realized that getting a picture of all of them smiling/looking at the camera was going to take a lot of work!! :)  Here are a few of the outtakes:

I think this is the best one, but Hudson is smiling like a crazy man!
The next morning, I had to get a picture of Holden standing up...he is so proud every time he stands up by himself!!

10 months!!

How in the world is this sweet little boy already 10 months old?!?  I have already started planning his first birthday and that just seems CRAZY to me!!!  It has been a big month for him.  Drum-roll please...he started sleeping through the night!!  HOORAY!!!  We joke that it was a Christmas miracle, but Christmas Eve was the first time that he EVER slept through the night.  Yes, it took him 9 1/2 months, but once he got it, he got it.  He goes to bed around 6:15/6:30 every night and doesn't wake until 7:15/8:00 every morning.  It is fabulous!!!  Can you tell I'm just a little excited about getting sleep again?!?  Aside from sleeping, he is also cutting his two incisors, so we also joke that he is a vampire baby.  Ha!  He is *almost* crawling.  He gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth like crazy and eventually falls to his stomach and gets frustrated.  I know it won't be long.  He is still eating solids like a champ.  He's not real big on chewing...still likes everything pureed for now.  At his 9 month appointment, the doctor had me slowly add dairy back into my diet, but it didn't last long.  He had a reaction and I had to take it out again.  Boo!  Here's hoping he outgrows this by the time he is a year.  He continues to be the happiest little guy and we are all so in love with him!!

 He found the sticker again...

After taking the sticker out of his mouth, he proceeded to try to crawl off the bed...photo shoot OVER!  :)

Baby it's COLD outside!!

The past two weeks have been REALLY cold and windy here. The kind of cold where you don't want to leave the house and you really don't want to drag a baby out in it.  Most mornings I am lucky enough to take Hudson to school by myself while Holden is asleep and Daddy is working from home.  But, every once in a while, Daddy has to leave early which means waking Holden up, bundling him up and heading out at 7:15 with both boys.  NOT my idea of fun.  One morning I had to snap a picture when Holden and I got home of him in his fuzzy bear jammies with a bear cap on.  His poor little eyes were watering from the cold, but he was just too cute!!
