Coach Paw-Paw :)

This past weekend, Paw-Paw and Nana came down to see Hudson play tee-ball and celebrate my birthday.  Hudson was so excited that they were going to get to see him play.  Hudson's coach wasn't there, and there wasn't enough help between the other coach and Daddy, so Paw-Paw was quickly recruited to stand at 3rd base.  Hudson was so cute when Paw-Paw walked on the field.  He said, "Paw-Paw, are you one of my coaches now?"  Precious!  His smile said it all.  :)
I was able to snap this pic of Hudson running to 3rd.

Paw-Paw, Hudson, and Daddy all on the field.  Melt my heart!

Plano Balloon Festival...Finally!!

After living here all these years and attending church right across the street, we finally made it to the Plano Balloon Festival last Friday night!  We tried to go last year, but after paying to get in, it started to rain and they cancelled it.  So, this was finally our year, and it didn't disappoint!  When we got there, we decided dinner was the first order of business and were so excited to get Urban Crust!  Yummy!  Then, we found a spot front and center, set up our chairs and began to watch the balloons inflate and be sent off.  It was so neat to see how big they actually are...they are HUGE!!!

 Hudson liked watching the fire...
This was his favorite hot air balloon...
Eating ice cream getting ready for the glow.

The glow was THE BEST!  After the first glow, we got to go down on the field and see them up close.  SO COOL!!  We all had such a good time!  This will definitely be a family tradition.  :)

5 year pics

Hudson's 5 year pictures were taken at a park in Addison on September 1st after being rescheduled twice because of rain!  I couldn't be happier with them...his fun personality just shines through in them!!!

 My absolute favorite!!  :)

Go Dodgers!!

Hudson's first tee-ball game was Saturday, September 8th and was possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen!!  Most of the boys (including Hudson) had no clue what was going on...several ran the wrong way when they hit, didn't run at all, kicked a lot of dirt, played in the outfield, and in general just had a great time. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way because the cuteness was just too much!!!  He has had two games since and they have gotten a little better as they are learning the game, but I still smile and laugh the entire game.  I have decided being a "baseball mom" is GREAT!
Here he is before the big game:
Some of the boys practicing with Coach Gary and Daddy.
Daddy giving Hudson some pointers in the outfield.
 Waiting to hit.
Hudson's first time up to bat...with a little prepping from Coach Danny.

 He hit...
 He ran...

 He made it!!!
Hudson on 3rd, and notice the next boy running in from second and Hudson just standing there...again, TOO STINKIN' CUTE!!!
 There he goes...
Saying good game to the other team.
One final "Go Dodgers" yell before snack time.
I just had to take a picture of Hudson and Daddy walking away discussing the game...I.MELT!!!

First day of Pre-K!

Hudson's first day of Pre-K was Tuesday, September 4th.  He is going to our church again and has his same precious teacher, Miss Amber.  We couldn't be happier!  He was a little leery about his friends from last year not being in his class, but did fine once we got to school and when he got a big hug from Miss Amber.  :)  I decided to start asking him what he wants to be when he grows up each year before school starts, and his answer didn't surprise us...it has been the same for 2 years now!

 Say cheese!!
We are ready for another great year with Miss Amber!!  :)

Tee-ball Time!

Last Spring, Hudson started saying he would like to play baseball.  I missed the boat on signing him up by the time we realized he wanted to do it, so we were ready for Fall ball.  We signed him up and he had his first practice last Tuesday night.  It was just precious to watch and gave me many flashbacks of watching my brother as a child.  Kelly is helping the coach along with the other dads and I can already tell what a bonding experience this is going to be.  Every night he and Hudson go "practice" in the backyard and it absolutely melts my heart!  Here he is at the first of many practices:

 Practicing hitting with Coach Green.

 GO DODGERS!!!
Yep, I'm going to love this!  :)
