Annual San Antonio Trip

This past Saturday we headed to San Antonio with Noni for our annual Sea World visit.  Hudson looks forward to this every year and had been counting down the days to see all of his beloved sea animals.  :)

Our first night there, we went to the River Walk for dinner and had yummy Mexican food at Casa Rio.

 After dinner we went on a barge ride.

 Hudson was a picture taking fool on the barge ride...took a TON of pictures on Daddy's phone.

 The next day we tried something different and went to Natural Bridge Caverns.  Yes, we had to take some cheesy pictures on the dinosaur.  :)

 Hudson was a little leery in the cavern...it was one time when you didn't have to remind him to hold your hand!

 Monday was the day Hudson had been waiting for...Sea World!  We had booked a beluga whale tour, but got a call the day before that it had been cancelled due to a birth.  So, after talking to two different people, they were able to squeeze us in to the dolphin tour.  It was AWESOME!  We got to meet two dolphins, Nacha and Bre.  We pet them, fed them, and even learned some hand signals.  It was a very cool experience!

 We were all in awe of this at the ski show...not sure what it was called, but this guy was soaring through the air.  Crazy!

 Hudson and Kelly rode this boat ride and Kelly said he did great until the boat went backward for a short time.  Poor kid did NOT like that, so he wasn't very happy at the end of the ride.  See his face.  :(

 Our last show of the day was Azul...Hudson's favorite.  He LOVES the beluga whale!!  Wish they would have brought the baby out, but hopefully we'll get to see it next year.  He posed before the show with his new dolphin, Nacha from Noni.

SUCH a great trip to San Antonio and Sea World.  Until next year!

4th of July

This past weekend, we headed to the lake for the 4th of July.  Hudson is officially a lake rat!  He LOVED the lake!!!  It is so fun seeing him enjoy something that I enjoyed growing up...makes me smile.  :)

 We shot fireworks and did sparklers in our jammies one night.

 Hudson tried his best to catch a fish on the shore without any luck, but finally managed to catch a baby frog.  He was so excited and didn't hesitate to grab the frog and play with it before returning him to the grass.

 There was of course a LOT of being launched into the water by Daddy and Paw-Paw.

 The highlight of the weekend was tubing for the first time.  He belly laughed the entire time!!

 He now has the tubing bug and has asked many times when we get to go back to the lake.  Needless to say, we already have a date on the calendar and I'm sure he will want to go tubing the minute we get there.  :)

A few nights ago, Hudson was in the tub and asked me to bring him a straw and a pair of goggles.  I walked in a few minutes later to find him "snorkeling" in the tub.  See the pink straw sticking up?  This kid cracks me up!

Destin 2013

The first week of June, we headed to Destin, Florida with Paw-Paw and Nana.  It was a BEAUTIFUL week at the beach!  Hudson is officially a beach bum, and yes, that makes this mommy a happy camper!  :)  He was in heaven each day playing in the ocean!  He played in the sand, fished with a net, jumped waves, made friends, and rode waves on a boogie board over and over again.  It was a fabulous week and we were definitely not ready to come home!

 Trying to build a mote is hard work!  He quickly learned that the water will not stay.

 One night we went on a crab walk with flashlights in hand.  So fun!

 I think Hudson's favorite part was being on the beach in the dark and getting wet with clothes on.  Ha!

 The condo that we stayed in had fish food to feed coy...this was a daily stop for us.

 The day before we left, Kelly, Hudson and I went on a dolphin cruise.  It was awesome!!  We saw dolphins within the first 10 minutes.  So cool!

 Hudson was in awe watching the dolphins swim close to the boat and jump out of the water.  They were even riding the giant waves.

 Before leaving the boat, each child got to be the captain for a few minutes.  Here's my cute captain:

 After the dolphin cruise, Hudson spotted a snow cone, so we had to stop and get one before heading back to the beach.

Such an amazing week at the beach!!  :)
