Last Saturday morning we headed out of town for Destin, FL. But first, we flew to New Orleans to stay with Aunt Diane and Uncle Al for a night before we all headed to Destin together. This was my first visit to their new house and oh my word...it is amazing. If I could just live on their back porch I would be happy. (Picture below) As soon as we got there, we changed into our bathing suits and went swimming. Swimming was definitely the theme to this vacation...since Hudson has been in swimming lessons for 6 weeks now, he is one happy boy practicing his skills!
Poor Paw-Paw got stuck hiding behind the water fall and then swimming across the pool with Hudson. OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!
A view of their back porch. AMAZING!
The next morning we headed to Destin. Beautiful as always!! The beach is definitely my happy place! :)
This is what we walked out to each morning. HEAVEN!
Once Hudson got used to the idea that he couldn't practice his swimming skills in the ocean he was a happy camper.
Nana teaching him how to jump waves.
Every afternoon after Hudson's nap we swam at the condo pool. His swimming teacher would have been so proud of him...he seriously practiced a lot of the skills she has been teaching him.

The newly engaged Geoff & Tara (Congrats!)
One morning we took Hudson to the Gulfarium. It had two "shows" and some other sea creatures to see. Hudson posing (but looking at the sea lions) with Paw-Paw and Mommy.
We had family beach pictures taken again and headed to Fudpucker's afterward for dinner. Hudson checking out the alligator.
The coolest part about this restaurant is that you can feed the alligators. To say that Hudson loved it is an understatement. Nana went back for alligator food so he could keep feeding them. We even got to touch an alligator!
One of the hungry gators.
One morning Hudson and I decided to go fishing in the ocean with nets. He was REALLY into it!
A man came by and dropped a fish that he had caught with his bare hands in Hudson's net. He and another little boy looked at it forever and then my brave little boy picked it up and threw it back in the ocean!
We had SUCH an amazing week spending so much time with family! Hudson actually asked if we could live there...sweet love!
