Annual San Antonio Trip

This past Thursday morning, we headed to San Antonio for our annual trip with Noni.  This year it was a little shorter because of a business trip for Kelly, but we packed in as much as we could in three short days!  We had to have dinner at Casa Rio on the Riverwalk the first night...it is our tradition.  Hudson and Noni waiting for a table...
Hudson learned a little about Texas history this past year, so he was interested in going to the Alamo.  It was dark after dinner, but we walked over to see it.
Holden was delirious at the Alamo.  Sweet boy.
Friday morning we arrived at what I am convinced is Hudson's favorite place on earth...Sea World!  He asked us this year if we could move to San Antonio so we could have season passes to Sea World.  Ummmm, NO!
They changed the entrance...no more whales to great you, but this sign instead.
 Our family.
 Daddy and Hudson petting dolphins.
Kelly snapped this picture of the boys and I watching the Sea Lion show.  Holden really seemed to be watching it...so funny!
Then, I snapped this one at Azul.  Right after this, Holden fell asleep on Kelly and slept through the rest of the show and while walking around.  Poor baby was exhausted.
I had to throw in a Shamu pic!
We stayed at Sea World all day and made sure to see every show and every exhibit.  It was the PREFECT day...it was actually overcast and in the 80's all day.  CRAZY for July!!  We really could not have asked for a better day.  The next morning, we got up and headed for this wild place:
It was the strangest place.  It had these lion "cubs" which seemed huge to me!
There were peacocks and chickens just roaming around.  They also had a camel, zebras, hyenas, mountain lions, ground hogs, otters, and many other animals.  Such a unique variety.
Oh, and did I mention snakes??  LOTS AND LOTS of snakes!!!!!  We watched a show about snakes and then Daddy and Hudson got to pet this python.  YUCK!

These were the only reptiles I enjoyed...how cute are these baby turtles?!?
Holden wasn't very excited about the snakes either.

Hudson and Daddy feeding these bearded dragons worms.  Again, YUCK!
 Then, this happened...
One of the workers came out with a snake named Jake and Hudson wanted to hold it.  What?!?  I couldn't believe it.  He didn't hesitate...just walked right up and asked for it to be put around his neck.  Crazy kid!!
Even though it was a little shorter, we had an AMAZING trip!!!

Little Golfer

Hudson went to his first day of golf camp today, so I snapped this picture before he left.  I seriously melted when I downloaded it.  I don't know when my first baby got SO BIG!!  He looks so grown up to me in this picture.  Love this cutie!

4 Months Already!!

This little cutie turned 4 months today!  Time is flying by so fast I can hardly believe it.  He had his well check today and got his dreaded shots.  Poor baby did not like them AT ALL!  :(  Dr. Smith told me that he has completely caught up already both developmentally and physically from being premature.  Yea!!  Sweet boy is a little chunk and is already in the 50% for weight.  I looked back at Hudson's 4 month stats and he weighed less, but was 3/4 an inch taller.  I joked with Dr. Smith that Hudson might be my long and lean son (he has NEVER been in the 50% for weight!) and Holden might be my short, stalky son.  Only time will tell!
Holden is still such a cuddle bug...I LOVE it!!  He loves to "talk" and will smile away at you if you are in range.  It is hard to get a picture of though because he goes into a trance when I pull out my camera.  He just stares and stares at it.  I need him to get over this SOON because it is making my life difficult.  Ha!  His reflux continues to be really bad, so he is still sleeping at a 30 degree angle and still has a hard time with tummy time because of it too.  He starts his vital stim therapy next week for the aspiration.  I'm dreading it, but am hopeful that it will help.  He doesn't get to start rice cereal until he has completed 2 weeks of vital stim, so pictures of that will come later.  He is such a joy and I can't wait to see his personality continue to shine through!!

LOVE this little guy!!!

The 4th of July

This year instead of heading to the lake for the 4th, we went to Paw-Paw and Nana's house.  With Holden and Luke being so little combined with really low lake levels, everyone thought it would be best to stay at the house.  I took Hudson to meet Nana the Wednesday before so he got some one on one time with them before the weekend.  He LOVED it!!  Kelly, Holden, and I went up late Thursday night so we could get in the entire day on Friday.  Friday morning we loaded up and went to the Oklahoma City Zoo.  They had some really neat things there that our zoo doesn't have.  While Daddy and Hudson were feeding catfish (YUCK!), Holden got to relax in the shade with Paw-Paw and Nana.

There are peacocks just walking around the zoo.  Crazy!
I didn't get a picture, but they had a stingray pool where Hudson was able to pet stingrays.  How cool is that?  Then, they had a small Sea World type show with sea lions and seals.  Holden sat on Paw-Paw's lap and watched the entire show.  TOO CUTE!!!!

Chatting with Paw-Paw after the show.  :)
On Saturday, the entire family came over.  We spent most of the afternoon swimming and just enjoying family time.  It was wonderful!  Here is Aunt Fern with Hudson and Holden.  She was one happy camper.  :)
Hudson wore Paw-Paw out having races in the pool.

While we were getting ready to leave, I caught this sweetness...Paw-Paw was singing and talking to Holden.  They were definitely having a moment.  :)

It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
