SNOW!!!

This year, we actually had a white Christmas!  It poured most of the night and morning, but turned to snow in the afternoon on Christmas day.  We never ventured outside to play in it, so we HAD to play in it the next day!!  The first two pictures were taken on Christmas...so pretty!

The next day, Daddy and Hudson got all bundled up and headed outside.
Funny how it immediately turned into a snowball fight!
 Good times!!

Christmas 2012

I know that I felt this way last year, but Christmas morning was absolutely magical with Hudson!  He was SO MUCH fun to watch and listen to...it absolutely melted my heart to see the joy in him!!
Coming around the corner Christmas morning.
First of all, he couldn't believe that Santa had wrapped his gifts in Christmas Superhero paper...that creative Santa! He was SO EXCITED about each and every gift...it was precious!

He was in love with the walkie talkies that Noni got him!  :)

After opening gifts, we had reindeer pancakes again. :)
Then, it was off to play, play, play...

One gift that he and Daddy played with all day long was the science kit he asked for.  They mixed colors, made crystals, and did all kinds of experiments.
It was a truly magical day spent at home enjoying family!

Christmas Eve

After church on Christmas Eve, we headed to Kelly's Dad's house to celebrate Christmas with his family.  Before opening presents, Hudson enjoyed being tickled by Aunt Sherry and Uncle Todd!
Then, it was present time for the kids!
Cousin Marcus got Hudson a telescope and Hudson couldn't wait to go outside to look at the moon!
Aunt Tara gave Hudson one of the coolest gifts (according to Hudson!) ever...a Hulk mask and hands.  He and Daddy immediately started wresting...or Daddy started getting hit I should say!

Aunt Tara, Hudson, and Aunt Sherry  (Kelly's sisters)
When we got home it was time to put the finishing touches on Christmas Eve.  First, I was able to snag a picture of Noni, Coco, and Hudson.
Every year, Hudson opens a gift from us on Christmas Eve...new jammies that he wears that night.  His reaction this year was PRICELESS!!!  To say that Superman jammies were a HIT is a complete understatement!!!  He was IN.LOVE!!

You know you did good when you get a spontaneous hug!!  :)  Yes, I melted!!

After posing with Mommy, Hudson got a little wild.  He wanted to pretend that he was the Grinch and Daddy was Max.  Poor Daddy!

After calming down, we set out our Grinch cookies, carrots, and milk and got ready for bed.

Then, we remembered the reindeer food that Hudson made at school, so Hudson jumped on Daddy's back and they ran around the yard sprinkling the reindeer food around.  :)
After that, Hudson practically plowed us down to get in bed.  I have NEVER seen him go to bed that fast in my life!!  :)

SURPRISE...Great Wolf Lodge!!!

After leaving ICE on the 23rd, Paw-Paw and Nana told Hudson that they had a surprise for him.  So, he and Nana hid under a blanket as we crossed the street and parked at the Great Wolf Lodge.  Here is Hudson getting out of the car and figuring out where we were...

Yep, jumping for joy when he figured it out!

We immediately checked into our room and put on our bathing suits.  We didn't even make it to story time because Hudson didn't want to stop swimming and going down the slides.
His favorite slides were the yellow and orange slide...Kelly and I went down with him OVER AND OVER again!!!
Swimming in the lazy river with Daddy.
If you make this picture bigger, you can see pure joy on his face when we shot out of the slide!  Love it!!!
Thanks Paw-Paw and Nana for an AMAZING SURPRISE!!  I think Mommy and Daddy liked it as much as Hudson!  :)

ICE!

With us not celebrating Christmas in Oklahoma until January, Paw-Paw and Nana decided that was too long to go without seeing Hudson.  So, they drove down December 21st to spend the weekend and to experience some of the fun Christmas activities here.  On Sunday, the 23rd we headed to Grapevine to go to the ICE exhibit at The Gaylord.  Hudson was so excited when we walked in that he started dancing with Nana!
 Posing on their parkas!
The theme this year was Merry Madagascar, which couldn't have pleased Hudson more since he LOVES the Madagascar characters!

He thought the ice slide was really cool!
We all loved the nativity scene at the end...just beautiful!!
Here we are trying to warm up when we finished walking through.  It was COLD in there...they said it was only 9 degrees inside that day!!
